2. Select an OCR option

Click the combo box under Output Options at the right part of the interface to drop down the list. The five options form the 8th one to the last one are for OCR. You can choose one of the options to demand your computer to recognize optical characters in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian or Portuguese. Here we choose 8. OCR PDF file (Language: English) because the sample input PDF file contains English text.

3. Specify RTF as the output format

Move the cursor down and click the second radio button titled Rich Text Format (*.RTF) under Output Formats.

4. Start conversion

Click Convert to open the Save As dialog box, select a folder in the dialog box and type a name for the output file. Then click Save.
