Virtual Printers of Document Converter

Document Converter provides two virtual printers for your Microsoft Windows System besides the GUI main program. The virtual printers provide the function of converting almost all common formats to any format.
After installing Document Converter into your system, you will find two virtual printers in your list of “Printer and Faxes” as presented in Fig.1. One is named “eePDF PDF Driver” and the other is “docPrint”.

The below words will provide the usage of the two virtual printers installed with Document Converter.

1.Use virtual printer “docPrint” Open a printable file, e.g., a Microsoft Office Word document, and activate the printing process in the interface of the application that is occupying the printable file. In the dialog of “Print” as shown in Fig.2, select the printer named “docPrint” and press [OK] button. This will start a window titled with “docPrint” as displayed in Fig.3.

In the interactive window of “docPrint”, you can set the page layouts, such as “Page Border”, “Page Number”, “Page Margins”, etc. Before the conversion, you can also set the “Ink Saving Options” to save ink for printing those documents with physical printers. You may as well set the number of page in one sheet of paper, for example, six pages in one paper sheet.

After setting all print options and layouts in the interactive window of “docPrint”, you can select the “Save As” item in menu [File] as presented in Fig.4, to start the dialog of “Save As” as displayed in Fig.5.

In the dialog, you can set the storing directory, the file name, the target format, the color depth and the compression method before pressing “Save” button and starting the conversion. Fig.6 lists some of the supported target formats by Document Converter in the dropdown list of “Save as type” in the “Save As” dialog.

2. Use virtual printer “eePDF PDF Driver”
The following words are about calling the printing process in any document editor or viewer to print your documents to pdf or other formats using virtual printer “eePDF PDF Driver” provided by Document Converter. In the dialog of “Print” as displayed in Fig.2, choose the printer “eePDF PDF Driver” and then press [OK] button. You will see a dialog of “Save As” as displayed in Fig.7.

In the dialog, you can choose a format in the dropdown list of “Save as type” and then press [Save] to convert your documents to the selected format. Fig.8 is a list of supported formats in the dropdown list of “Save as type”.
