PDF file format has a good feature that it supports to use owner password to prevent being modified by other users. However, if the owner himself forgets the password, it will be a troublesome thing. Step 1. Drag your PDF files encrypted by owner passwords from the Windows Explorer and drop them into the main interface of the application. Then you will see a dialog requiring for a directory to saving those new PDF files with owner passwords retrieved. The application removes the passwords instantly after your pulling them into the main interface. After removing the owner passwords, you can set new owner passwords to those PDF files saved in the specified directory. Note that you have to input the user (open) password if the PDF file is encrypted by a user password. A user password is for preventing opening the PDF file, and PDF Password Retriever needs this user password to access the PDF file and remove the owner password.
